valentine's

it's a day late, but nonetheless...

it was nothing like last year. last year, when i didn't expect anything, and i was reminded - with my favorite song - that my now ex-best friend cared to the extent he did about me. every word and action mirrored his feelings. i still remember the day like it was yesterday. but alas, a year has passed. such love no longer exists, but i truly believe everything happens for a reason. anyway, Vday this year wasn't too horrible in terms of the love of my friends and family. the love that really counts, rather. i really do cherish everyone that is genuinely there for me and that i love, and who loves me, wholeheartedly. i'm glad that everyone is happy and healthy, and hope that our lives together continues to ebb and flow. though i received a kiss at the end of the night, it wasn't how it was meant to be .... therefore i graciously let go of that memory; it is to mean nothing until it is with someone i truly care about. i really do love all of you that have changed my life - for the better or worse, that have been there for me through the bad times as well as the good, that i have loved, that have loved me. happy belated vday. here's to wonderful years ahead of lots of laughter, love and happiness. spread the love, and soon it will return to you, with an unimaginable force.
