at age 56, apple co-founder steve jobs passed away today. it's indeed a sad day for everyone as this great man leaves us behind. with 30 years of his life, he was able to achieve so much and transform the technological landscape ... if everyone had half his determination and creativity, the world would be a happy place. we'd be living in disneyland. of course, not even disneyland is as popular as apple products around the world. so its apt to say that steve jobs' passing has a profound impact on not only apple users, but the entire tech industry, and those who rely heavily on jobs' life philosophy.
speaking of philosophy, his commencement speech to stanford graduates (c/o 2005) is unmeasurable. to date, it's one of the most inspirational speeches - without trying hard at all. a simpleton at heart, jobs finds a way to connect with each new graduate by recounting and explaining the significance of each tribulation in life. below are some links on steve jobs. i've also linked a post i wrote a while back on his commencement speech in stanford.
