so i realized that i've posted / blogged way more than i have in the past. most of it hasn't also been mine - meaning, i've posted about things i've read / listened to / pieces i enjoyed. unemployment has a way of doing that to you. it's a breath of fresh air from normal life - where you're too busy to enjoy and really understand the simple things in life. no matter how hard i am on myself about not having a job, i'm honestly enjoying every single minute - because i'm able to do things i haven't had time to before. either haven't had time, or haven't had the energy to do - after a day's work, etc.

without being unemployed, i would've never thought to take the opportunity (or the time) to explore TED, or even Oprah's spirit and relationship musings. i would've never explored TIME or CNN in such great detail for the human interest stories, or explored avenues to further entertain myself (and enrich my knowledge) on lesser known subjects.

one thing i do miss, is the interesting ability i had to find time for everything when i was working. i was on top of my stuff! now that i have all this free time ... it's more of a let's ride the wave feeling ... and while on some days, that's great ... most days, i have things piling up ... and it's not all that and a bag of chips. trust me on that.

just felt like writing on this sunday morning, dreary as it may be... had a little burst of light come from within when i was reading my morning news :) rare epiphany times, i suppose. must restart my poetry. has been ages ... one of these days ... this week, i promise to sit down with a pen and paper and just let the words flow. let's hope it works :)

happy sunday, all :)
